Description:

Jurkat 76 cells are a TCR α? and β? derivative of the CD8? human T cell lymphoma Jurkat cell line. Since Jurkat 76 cells are TCR negative, any introduced TCR would not have to compete with the endogenous TCR and its expression can be monitored by staining with anti-CD3 mAb. Furthermore, Jurkat 76 cells expressing a cloned TCR secrete IL-2 upon antigen stimulation in an antigen-specific fashion. Therefore, Jurkat 76 cells are an excellent model to evaluate the expression and function of any cloned TCR.
