The TC-1 lung metastasis model can be used to test the efficacy of various E6/E7-specific vaccines and immunotherapeutic strategies [PubMed: 9724092].The tumor cell line, TC-1 [tissue culture number one], was derived from primary lung epithelial cells of C57BL/6 mice.The cells are positive for the expression of HPV-16 E7 [PubMed: 8548765]. These cells derived from a C57BL/6 mouse and were immortalized with the amphotropic retrovirus vector LXSN16E6E7 and subsequently transformed with the pVEJB plasmid expressing the activated human c-Ha-ras oncogene.
