Morphology: fibroblastoid cells growing in monolayers
Medium: 95% Dulbecco's MEM (4.5 g/L glucose) + 5% h.i. FBS + 2 mM L-glutamine + 25 mM HEPES
Subculture: split confluent culture 1:20 to 1:50 every 3-4 days using trypsin/EDTA; seed out at ca. 0.05 x 106 cells/cm2; maintain at 0.2 x 106 cells/cm2
Incubation: at 37 °C with 5% CO2
Doubling time: ca. 19 hours
Harvest: cell harvest of ca. 0.3 x 106 cells/cm2
Storage: frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
